About Basic Keel Boat (ASA 101)
The intent of this Basic Sailing class is to teach the fundamentals of sailing a small keelboat in familiar waters and light wind. The class will meet at Passion Yachts annex office on the docks below the sales office. Scheduled times will be discussed with your instructor.
The class will be given aboard a Hunter 22,28 or 34. This is a hands on course with most of our time spent on the water learning and practicing skills. The course will teach you the basics of how to sail, as well as build your knowledge of seamanship and boating skills. No previous experience is necessary to take this course. |

What to expect:
The tuition includes all course materials including the text book, an ASA Log book, written test, your ASA certification and a certified instructor. It also includes a one year membership with ASA, a one year subscription to Sailing Magazine and other benefits available to ASA members. The class size is limited to a maximum of 4 students to ensure optimum sailing time for each student. With your ASA 101 certification, you can pursue higher levels of training within the ASA curriculum.
