Bareboat Chartering Columbia River Bar or Cascade Locks:
This advanced sailing course provides the skills needed to charter a boat anywhere in the world. After completing our ASA Bareboat Chartering course, you will earn ASA Bareboat Chartering Certification. This course will provide you with a more advanced knowledge base, teaching you the essential skills you’ll need to safely command a boat up to 50ft on your own, along the coastal, river waters of Oregon and Washington, Puget Sound and beyond.
We have two classes to choose from, go west to the Columbia River Bar 4 days /3 nights or go East to Cascade Locks 3 days / 2 Nights |

What to expect:
The tuition includes all course materials including the text book, charts, an ASA Log book, written test, your ASA certification and a certified instructor. It also includes a one year membership with ASA, a one year subscription to Sailing Magazine and other benefits available to ASA members.
- The class size is limited to a maximum of 4 students to ensure optimum sailing time for each student.
- Given the length of the trip and the size of boat, we permit up to four students per class.
Class Hours: Columbia River Bar 4 Days 3 Nights - Cascade Locks 3 Days 2 Nights
Prerequisite: ASA 101-Basic Keelboat Sailing and ASA 103-Basic Coastal Cruising Certification
